„Ministry of Data” is another open data challenge implemented by TechSoup Europe in cooperation with our partner - GONG, Croatia. It is a second edition of a challenge designed and previously run by United Nations Development Programme.

By co-organising this challenge TechSoup aims to encourage, support and demand from public administration to proactively publish data for reuse. We improve the supply of data and ensure transparency. On the other hand we support the demand, strengthen all stakeholders that use the data for public good or profit, and ensure growth and transparency of Western Balkans region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo,Macedonia). We also invest in IT skills and digital competences in the region as well as good (local) governance.

The winners of a challenge and their ideas will change the life of citizens in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Bosnia&Herzegovina. Follow #mdata16
